Publications
Publications devoted to aspects of the distributed Kress Collection, as well as those focused on Foundation activities, are available to view and download.
Kress Collection Catalogues
From 1964 – 1977, the Kress Foundation sponsored the publication of the Complete Catalogue of the Samuel H. Kress Collection, published on behalf of the Foundation. These nine illustrated volumes are written by leading art historians and remain authoritative scholarship on the works in the Collection.
Sponsored Research
The Kress Foundation has commissioned timely studies of topical issues related to the disciplines of art history, art conservation, and art museums. We present the results of these studies here, as well as other relevant studies the Foundation has supported.
Additional Resources
Additional resources available include the Samuel H. Kress Lectures in Museum Education at the Frick, the Samuel H. Kress Lectures in Conservation at the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU and the provenance indexes for the Kress Collection.
